LGBT Engagement Photoshoot in Venice

Ryley and Sumun reached out to me while planning their trip to Italy, looking for a way to celebrate their love with a quiet and heartfelt LGBT engagement photoshoot in Venice. They had already proposed to each other so this session wasn’t about the surprise or the big question. It was simply about them: their story, their connection, and the joy of capturing it all in one of the most timeless cities in the world.

We met at sunrise, when Venice is still sleepy and the light is soft and golden. The quiet streets, gentle reflections on the canals, and the sound of footsteps on stone were the perfect backdrop for something intimate and meaningful. Ryley and Sumun were incredibly sweet, totally at ease, and fully immersed in the moment. You could feel how much they trusted each other, how deeply they cared and that made every frame feel alive.

We wandered slowly through San Marco and Castello district, stopping along bridges and hidden alleys, soaking in the magic of a Venice that felt like it belonged just to them. There were no crowds, no distractions, just two people in love, being themselves. That’s the kind of energy I love to capture: no performances, no pressure, just honest emotions and quiet beauty.

As an LGBTQ+ photographer in Italy, creating a safe, welcoming space is always my priority. I know how important it is to feel seen and supported, especially when celebrating something so personal.
