When love is the only thing that matters, every choice becomes simple. That’s exactly how Shunese and Denzel decided to celebrate their marriage, with an intimate elopement ceremony in Venice, full of joy, emotions, and spontaneity.
We started the morning in their hotel room, where the make-up artist Raisa helped Shunese get ready. Once ready, we boarded a private water taxi and crossed the lagoon to reach San Giorgio Island, one of the most scenic and peaceful locations for a wedding ceremony in Venice. The November light was crisp and golden one of those rare sunny winter days that makes Venice glow.
There, in front of the majestic church and surrounded by light and water, Shunese and Denzel exchanged their vows with the lovely celebrant Chiara, in a moment that was heartfelt, emotional, and incredibly personal. After the ceremony, we returned by boat and made our way to St. Mark’s Square for a celebratory tiramisu stop at the iconic Caffè Florian.
The couple requested to end their photoshoot not with a toast or cake, but with a slice of pizza, their favorite italian food. A simple, spontaneous moment that reflected their personalities and added to the fun, relaxed vibe of the day.
If you’re dreaming of a non-traditional wedding in Venice, this elopement ceremony is a perfect example of how you can make your day truly yours, emotional, simple, and full of moments that matter to you. Venice offers endless opportunities to create unforgettable memories in a breathtaking setting.
